Artist Statement

I have been interested in painting since I was child, and as my experience as an artist progressed, the driving force for my artistic creation became the subject of people - be that of faces of everyday people, or studies of children. My works focus on the diversity of cultures in our society; even though our faces vary, our identity as human beings is commonly shared by everyone regardless of social and cultural backgrounds. It is this particular similarity within the matrices of various degrees of differences that I attempt to portray as an artist. When I am painting or drawing the human family or painting landscapes and buildings, I only see myself as a copyist of God's wonderful creations, yet, this gives me the inspiration to paint even more.
